This is in part the real story of Dick Eklund brother of Mickey Ward who was featured in the movie The Fighter with Christian Bale playing Eklund. This documentary is pretty gritty and was made before anyone knew who Mickey Ward was. There is one scene where Ward’s corner is following him up to the ring and you realize that his entire corner were all hopeless crack-heads. This documentary is far better and more revealing than the movie The Fighter.
